An Incredible Portrait of my Beautiful Mother

by tmurzens 20. November 2009 16:06

I have a photo of my mother that was taken around 1956 that I wanted to have enlarged to frame and hang on the wall instead of letting it hide in a scrapbook. None of the local photography studios could make a good enlargement of it. I decided to take a chance on an oil painting. I figured I’d receive a reasonably good facsimile of the photo. When I opened the box from oilportraits.com, I was floored! The painting actually looks better than the old photo. The fine details are incredible. I never, ever expected to receive something of this quality.

My Beloved Peggy

by tmurzens 13. November 2009 16:00

This afternoon FedEx delivered the oil portrait of my beloved Peggy, who died two days after I ordered the painting. I had hoped to have it hung as a surprise when she returned from the hospital.

I was so nervous as I opened the carton that my hands were shaking. As I was cutting the binder tape on the Styrofoam sheets to pull out the velvet bag my heart was beating double time, because I was prepared for the worst -- expecting it to be amateurish and expecting to be disappointed. It was not, and I was not. I was so relieved that I began to tear up as I gazed upon her lovely face.

It is a beautiful painting. The artist got all of the dimensions, perspective, facial features and color tones correct. His/Her skill is indeed impressive. I am still in disbelief that I could get an oil portrait of this quality for the price. Thank you for helping to ease the pain of my loss and providing me with another precious memory of my sweet girl.

It is Unbelievable How Perfect it is!

by tmurzens 3. November 2009 12:15

This was the first oil portrait I have had done and I was a little apprehensive upon receiving it. I was completely shocked at how beautiful the portrait turned out. It is unbelievable how perfect it is! I can't wait for my adult children to see it. (The picture was of the three of them taken about 28 years ago.) Thank you so much for achieving exactly what I had hoped for.

Sincerely,

Vicki
